The Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW  (AH&MRC) is committed to respond to gambling issues in Aboriginal communities in NSW. As part of raising community awareness, the AH&MRC has developed the “Lets Talk Gambling” website, which is being launched today. To our knowledge, this is the first Aboriginal specific website with information about gambling in Australia.

The AH&MRC understands that for many Aboriginal people, gambling is exciting and entertaining. Many people who gamble responsibly make careful decisions about spending time and money, where to go and how to have fun.

The objective of the AH&MRC “Lets Talk Gambling” website is to provide Aboriginal people with information about gambling, the odds, chances, impacts, signs and warnings, strategies and access to help if required.
