Located at the rear of our GP clinic (entry via Dundas Street), our Dental Clinic strives to offer the best practice in oral health. The dental team includes a Dental Assistant/Cleaning, Dental and Transport Coordinator, Dental Assistant, Oral Health Therapist and Locum Dentists.
The Dental Assistants coordinate the dental program, schedule clients and assist the Dentist and Oral Health Therapist.
The Oral Health Therapist visits WAMS regularly on a monthly basis and provides free dental care to children from 0-18 years. WAMS participates in the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule and the child program delivers school based dental checks, preventive treatments and oral health promotion.
Locum Dentists provide general dental care for adults. This is free for people on a Pension Concession or Health Care Card. The WAMS dental team can explain the dental fee schedule for people not eligible for free dental care.
After hours or emergency care can be accessed by calling 000 in an event of an emergency.
