Located at 33 Wee Waa Street, the Administration building houses the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Manager, Executive Support Officer, Education Manager, HR Officer, Finance Manager, Finance Assistant, Admin Team Leader and Admin Support.

Services provided:

Operational and managerial services including funding submissions, service delivery, development of future programs and accountability procedures. Recruitment of external Contractors, compliance, policy implementation and regulations.

Financial services including expenditure and acquittal to funding bodies. Ensuring financial benchmarks and reporting requirements are achieved through consultation with external auditors. Maintaining payroll records, BAS, Superannuation and other reporting.

Maintaining proper financial transactions and documentation and upkeep of personnel files.

Administrative services including management of WAMS properties, repairs and maintenance and rental agreements.

Management of Fire Safety Specialists and Schedules, and Health and Safety coordination.

HR Services manages Staff recruitment and retention including onboarding and orientation processes.
Sourcing, enrolling and maintaining staff training in relevant field of work and maintaining a training register.

Our Cleaning Team ensures all WAMS facilities, including residences, are kept in a safe and hygienic state in alignment with infection control standards.

The Administration department also manages the hire of our Community Hall and Boardroom and provides funeral vouchers to assist families with associated costs. The Culture & History Coordinator is located in the New Development Building and provides cultural support and direction at an operational level as well as supporting staff members across the organisation. This position also partners with community and government agencies to provide Cultural Awareness activities across the Walgett Shire.

Support and services include Gamilaraay Language learning, The Freedom Ride Park, cultural in-services and local cultural events of significance throughout the year. The Culture and History Coordinator also works with the Walgett Freedom Ride Memorial Park that includes future developments and projects that work closely with the community through the development of a native garden, information and presentations on the Freedom Rides to Walgett.
