On Behalf of Walgett AMS and Brewarrina Aboriginal Health Service we would like to inform the community of Brewarrina that Mrs. Hellen Mannix has left BAHSL after 12 years’ service.

Hellen came to Brewarrina in 1982 as an Enrolled Nurse then proceeding to a Registered Nurse, she worked in the Local Hospital and Community Health before coming to BAHSL in 2005. She has had many achievements along the way which include recognition for Women of the West award , in 2008 winner of best Business Award from Brewarrina Business Awards and finalist at the Aboriginal Health Awards in 2012 for The Re-establishment and expansion of the Brewarrina Aboriginal Health Service in Brewarrina in the categories of Closing the Gap in Aboriginal Health through Excellence in Chronic Care, Director- General Award and Minister of Health Award for Excellence in Aboriginal Health.

Heleln has taken on a new Position at Wellington Correctional Centre as the Nursing Unit Manager, we would like to extend our gratitude for your services and commitment in Brewarrina, wishing you and your family all the best in your new adventures and look forward to seeing you in the future.
